As we approach our February year-end, we are looking back at the last twelve months and some of the key moments and developments in our business.
The accountancy practice has continued to grow and we gained some lovely new clients through both word of mouth and reviews on QuickBooks. We were very pleased to welcome Nicki to our practice as our first employee to support us with the increased workload and we continue to strive for simplicity and automation using the latest software tools.
Hunter Management Accountancy is an accountancy practice for small to medium businesses, but we are also a financial consultancy. Having worked full-time in industry until end 2021, Dan has been building up the consulting side of the business over the last year. He has had some fantastic corporate clients. The consulting work he does is called FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis), which is financial modelling, budgeting and commercial finance as well as systems.
Chiara also grew this side of the business with some new contracts delivering part-time Finance Director services and management accounting to broaden the services we offer.
Chiara continued with her ATT (Association of Tax Technicians) studies to add a specialist tax qualification to her existing chartered management accountant (CIMA) qualification. She has recently passed the final exam. This was a huge commitment when already busy running the business, but it was well worth the effort.
Early this year, as you may have seen in the previous post, we were really pleased to be able to look at ways to contribute to some good causes and we have chosen three causes to support: Against Malaria Foundation, International Rescue Committee, and Mossy Earth.
We look forward to 2023 and continuing to develop our business and support our clients in the best way we can.
Chiara and Dan
